About

Ava graduated from UC Davis with a degree in evolutionary anthropology and spent a few years working in Costa Rica with the Lomas Barbudal Monkey Project. After she became pregnant with Corwin and Alden*, she temporary left primatology with the hope that she could return to the field once they were through infancy. Not long after the twins were born, it became apparent that Corwin was developmentally delayed and he was diagnosed with autism at 17 months. Primatology is permanently (?) on hold as she devotes most of her time to her sons and therapies.

She lives in North Carolina with her husband, twin sons, and cat, Tardis.
